We added a new page ranking all 10 UK cities by indicative gross rental yield, so you can compare them at a glance and jump straight to a city's dedicated calculator.

We added dedicated rental yield calculators for 10 UK cities, each pre-filled with local average prices and median rents so you can see a headline gross yield at a glance.

• New calculators for London, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Nottingham, Liverpool and Sheffield.
• Each city page shows indicative gross yields by number of bedrooms, sourced from official government statistics.
